1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on schrodingersdove ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.

2. The Service is Free, Forever

schrodingersdove is and will always be completely free. There are no paid tiers, no advertisements, no monetization, and no plans to introduce any. The Service is funded entirely by its maintainer as a community resource.

3. Accounts

Registration requires an invite code. You must provide a valid email address and a username. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. The Service may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Submit content that is illegal, harassing, or abusive
• Spam the platform with irrelevant or promotional content
• Attempt to compromise the security or stability of the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
• Impersonate other users or the maintainer

5. Content

Users retain ownership of content they submit (tags, comments, book submissions). By submitting content, you grant the Service a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it on the platform. Book metadata (title, author, publication year) is factual information and not subject to copyright.

6. Privacy

We collect only the information you provide: username, email address, and optionally a display name. This data is used solely for account management. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics services, or third-party ad networks. Your email is never shared, sold, or used for marketing. See our About page for more details on data practices.

7. Intellectual Property

The schrodingersdove source code is currently not open source. The website and its design are the property of the maintainer. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works of the Service itself. Book data and user-generated content belong to their respective contributors.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The maintainer is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service. The Service may be unavailable at times due to maintenance or unforeseen issues.
