Humanity has evolved.
MET 1 people can drain energy from others with a simple touch. MET 2 can heal fast and are untouchable by fatal diseases.
Jack is a homeless man who has lost his family and is willing to do anything to get them back. When a team of scientists offer him a chance to get off the streets, he agrees to take part in their illegal experiments. He wakes up one hundred and sixty years later in an abandoned facility, with unexpected abilities.
Elena has lost her husband and she’s now raising her kids on her own, determined to adopt Andrew, a 14 year old boy living at the Institute of MET children. Neither her or her biological children are MET.
Andrew’s world turns upside down when he finds out that Joshua, a man who was born with both MET abilities, has taken a keen interest in him.
Joshua believes he is the true ruler of the world and that everybody should recognize him as the top of the food chain, the new link in the evolution of humanity.
Will Andrew join Joshua in his quest for power or will he keep his innocence?
Cesar and Auri are two tired parents wishing for a tropical vacation. One lucky day, in their pile of trash post, they find an offer that fits their limited budget, promising four days of relaxation on a private island, food and drinks included.
Soon they fly out for some well deserved break, away from the children, away from their routine.
But what they don’t know is that the island is not what it seems, the hotel workers are keeping disturbing secrets and the monster that lurks in the shadows is always hungry for fresh meat.
I see her. She’s climbed up on the kitchen counter watching me, as a predator follows its prey: quietly, without any movement, without any noise. I ignore her and open the fridge to get the bottle of apple juice. I take a glass out of the cupboard, pour my juice and sit down at the table. I finish drinking, put the bottle back and look at her again. She has pitch-black eyes, but all monsters have them, don’t they? They are so dark that I can't even tell if she has pupils or not.
I turn my back on her again and go to the bedroom, only this time I can't fall asleep. I know she's there; I feel her. I know she's watching me throughout the day, even if I don't see her during daylight. I'm afraid of her just because she doesn't do anything. She just sits there and watches me. I feel like she’s waiting for me to do something or not do something to have a reason to catch me, but then I think that’s absurd. Supernatural creatures that want to hurt you don't need a reason. They don't wait until you do something specific, swear at an old woman on the street, kick a cat, or watch underage porn movies. If she showed up here, my fate is probably sealed already and there's no point in letting it get on my nerves.
