Marie wakes up in a bureaucratic afterlife run with all the efficiency and emotional warmth of a corporate office.
Guided by an eccentric volunteer handler named Heather, she learns about the different areas of hell, purgatory, and heaven, along with the lives of the people around her.
In short, this is a deadpan, contemporary retelling of The Divine Comedy. Except there's actual comedy. Probably.
And almost nobody is spared here. Not even Marie.
